Chobani Wellness Park opens along Canyon Rim Trail
Park took about 10 years to build and includes fitness equipment, shade pavilions and climbing features
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Chobani Wellness Park is open along the Canyon Rim Trail, offering a new space for people to gather, get active and enjoy the outdoors.
According to Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Director Wendy Davis, she said the path to building the park took about 10 years, marking a big milestone for the Twin Falls community.
“I think this is a really long awaited space, and I think there’s a lot of enthusiasm around it,” Davis said. “I think Chobani is proud to be offering this to the community.”
The park features outdoor fitness equipment, open green space, multiple shade pavilions and climbing features. It also has restrooms and parking, giving visitors a place to take a break before or after using the trail.
“I think this is a really unique space, and it’s certainly a new kind of space that we’re offering to Twin Falls,” Davis said.
Chobani helped make the project possible through its Legacy Project, which allows employees to vote on community investments.
Cooper Smith, Chobani’s Community Impact Manager, said the wellness park was selected as a two-year project, with Chobani contributing $500,000.
“It means a world to invest in the communities we call home,” Smith said. “We know that we’re nothing without our community.”
Davis hopes to bring more community activities to the park. They could include fitness classes, yoga and other wellness programs, potentially beginning in the spring.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team and all of our partners in the project to help make it happen,” Davis said. “And to get this done is a huge exhale and something we’re really proud of.”
The park is part of one of many improvement projects happening around the city.
